Terms of Service
Last updated August 7, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Kial app and website (the "Service"), operated by Kial ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Kial.
What Kial is
Kial is a personal-finance tool for tracking expenses, income, budgets, savings goals, and recurring transactions that you enter yourself — by hand, by scanning a receipt, or by speaking to the assistant. Kial does not connect to your bank or import transactions automatically; it is a record-keeping tool only.
Not financial advice
Kial does not provide financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Any totals, budgets, or insights are informational and based on the data you enter. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.
AI features
Kial uses automated (AI) processing in two places: reading receipts you scan, and understanding what you say to the voice assistant. Both may be inaccurate.
- Nothing is ever saved on your behalf. When you scan a receipt or dictate a record, Kial fills in a form and you confirm it. Always review the amounts, merchant, and date before saving — you are responsible for the accuracy of your records.
- Assistant answers are informational. When you ask the assistant a question, it shows you a view of the data you entered yourself. It may misunderstand a question, pick the wrong period, or not cover what you asked. Treat its answers as a shortcut to your own records, not as an authoritative statement of your finances, and check the underlying screens before acting on anything that matters.
- Fair use. AI features cost us money per request, so they are subject to reasonable daily limits and may be changed, paused, or moved to a paid plan in the future. We will keep manual entry — the core of Kial — available without them.
See our Privacy Policy for exactly what is sent for processing and what is not.
Your account
You may use Kial as a guest or create an account (email, Apple, or Google). Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
Your data
You own the data you enter. You grant us the limited permission needed to store and display it so the Service can function. See our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Use Kial for your own personal finance tracking. Don't misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, access other users' data, or use it unlawfully. Don't use the AI features for anything other than your own records — in particular, don't automate requests to them or use them as a general-purpose assistant.
Pricing
Kial is currently free. In the future, some features may be offered as a paid premium subscription; if and when that happens, the price and terms will be shown to you before you purchase, and the core tracking features described today will remain available at no cost unless stated otherwise.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kial is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using Kial and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico.
Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
